I’ve been without Internet for a few days and so haven’t been able to get this update posted. It’s another article about the race for House District 17: Renuart facing two challengers, Davis and Kendall, in re-election bid. Nothing really new here, but it’s worth reading for the it-would-be-funny-if-it-wasn’t-so-sad quotes from Kendall.
[Kendall] believes creationism should be allowed in science classes, though teaching the biblical version is now against state law.
“We must allow students in science class to question whether evolution is the basis for the origin of life,†she told a Republican group earlier this year. “That’s called academic freedom.â€
Kendall also favors public funding of religious and private schools.
“Public money going to religious schools is money well-spent,†she said. “I don’t think we should be supporting schools that are not based on our Judeo-Christian heritage.â€
She told The Record editorial board that she would not favor public funding of Islamic religious schools.
Even though a previous article had revealed that all of the candidates support creationism, this article only highlights Kendall’s views on the issue for some unknown reason.
Kendall shows that she is not only scientifically illiterate(evolution is not a study of the origins of life) she is a religious bigot.
