live feed

Ask and you shall receive. I asked the public affairs folks about video and they said that once the meeting starts that a link to live video will be on the fldoe website. Would someone in the comments please post the actual link when it’s time?

  1. Mike O'Risal says:

    Thanks, Brandon.

One update on that: the Orlando Sentinel’s webcast has just gotten linked. It plays in Windows Media Player.

    Webcast link

  2. Kyle says:

I am having trouble getting to the link, is there another way in?

  3. Kathy S says:

    Kyle,
I don’t think it will work until the feed is up. It just says “page not found” right now.

  4. Mike O'Risal says:

The Florida DOE webcast link is now up: http://www.fldoe.org/webcast/

Windows Media Player version 9.0 or newer is required.

  5. cope says:

At 8:05, a grapic says the meeting will start at 8:30.

  6. Kyle says:

    Thank you everyone!
The fldoe webcast seems to be working. Also I was able to get this link to work. OrlandoSentinel.com. (Click on watch florida doe meeting).

  7. S.Scott says:

Oooh! I’m late! Did I miss anything ?

  8. Thanks, I have the webcast playing now.

I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. I already had a talk scheduled in Lansing, MI this evening.

Will the video be available for download later today?

  9. J.F. McCullers says:

Yes, the video feeds of each meeting are archived for later download/viewing.

Look for “Meeting Archive” under each meeting date at http://www.fldoe.org/meetings/

I think they post them the same day.

  10. Mike O'Risal says:

I’m getting some insurance committee meeting on the Orlando Sentinel; somebody post the correct link for the webcast. Thanks.

  11. Kim says:

The live feed from BEO sucks, but maybe that is my connection….

  12. Mike O'Risal says:

The Orlando Sentinel link now just refers to the BOE webpage, and that link isn’t working at all for me. Is there anywhere else to get this webcast?

I’m really losing my patience now.

  13. Kim says:

As expected, the request for feeds is just blowing the server out of the air, it is overwhelmed and cannot fulfill the requests. There are probably thous ants of people watching the live feed!

  14. S.Scott says:

I’m getting it but it keeps pausing to “Buffer” – picture will lock up but I still get audio.

  15. S.Scott says:

    Kim Kendall is first speaker
