Elections update

There hasn’t been very much creationism craziness in this year’s elections here in Florida. There has been some, but it could have been much worse. I know I’m late in doing this, but I think it’s time to see how known creationist candidates did in the primaries.

We’ll start in House District 17. All three Republican candidates for the seat had creationist leanings, but Kim Kendall was the one most well known for her anti-evolution activism. She lost: Renuart wins third term, defeating Davis and Kendall.

In a Hillsborough County School Board race, Terry Kemple moves on to a runoff: Both remaining Hillsborough School Board candidates come with controversy.

Jodi Wood lost in his bid for a seat on the Alachua County School Board: McNealy, Sharpe move to runoff in School Board race.

Finally, in Pinellas County School Board races Corey Givens lost while Elliott Stern heads to a runoff: Pinellas School Board races headed for runoffs.

If any of you know of interesting races I missed, feel free to say so in the comments.
