Two chances to speak your mind

Chance 1: You can share your thoughts with U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan during a televised national town hall meeting at 8 p.m. Sept. 15.

On this special edition of Education News Parents Can Use, Secretary Duncan will engage in a live, interactive discussion with parents across the nation by telephone, email, and with a studio audience. This event is one stop along the secretary’s national “Listening and Learning” tour to gather input on the administration’s education agenda, including: early childhood learning, quality schools, parent responsibility, higher standards, teacher quality, health and safety, workforce development, and higher education.

Chance 2: John Legg, Chair of the Florida House of Representatives PreK-12 Policy Committee, will be doing a live chat on the St. Petersburg Times web site tomorrow (Wednesday). Some folks have already submitted questions/comments.

These are a couple of chances for you to express your concerns about science education and education in general.
