Science under siege promo

The Science under siege panel discussion got a promotional notice in a newspaper:

The University of North Florida Department of Biology and First Coast Freethought Society are sponsoring a free panel discussion titled “Science Under Seige: The Attack on Evolution” at 7 p.m. Monday at the University Center Banquet Hall on the UNF campus. The discussion, followed by a question-and-answer session, will be moderated by Ken Hurley, president of ACLU Jacksonville. Panel members include UNF professors Anthony M. Rossi, biologist; Matthew R. Gilg, biologist; Jay S. Huebner, physicist and astronomer; and Gordon F.M. Rakita, anthropologist.

Panelists will outline the key concepts of evolutionary theory, its relevance to present-day humanity and how they think it deserves its rightful place in public education as one of the foundations of biology.

For more information about the panel discussion on evolution, contact Tony Rossi at 629-2830 or by e-mail at arossi@unf.edu.
