Superintendents aren’t Wired

A short piece about our Florida science standards appeared on the science section of Wired online. I spoke with the writer, Brandon Keim, about a week ago, so I know he’s been working on this stuff for a little while now. That makes this snippet all the more interesting:

So far, not a single superintendent from those eight school boards has been available for comment. At least Willard Fair, chairman of the state Board of Education, which meets in February to finalize the science standards, was willing to get on the phone and say that he had no comment whatsoever.
