“Your Inner Fish” Part 3

Part three of Neil Shubin’s three part series, Your Inner Fish, will air tonight on Wednesday April 23rd at 10: pm (EST) on your local Florida PBS station. This week’s program is titled “Your Inner monkey” and delves back into our primate past. Shubin travels from the badlands of Ethiopia, where the famous hominid skeletons “Lucy” and “Ardi” were found, to a forest canopy in our own state, Florida, home to modern primates. I’m sure this program will further fuel the ongoing debate about evolution and several bloggers on this site will find reasons to cross swords.

I wonder who you mean Dr Smith? Cue Evolutionist denying Chris in 3-2-1

    Ivorygirl.

You ‘re pretty funny. I was able to watch most of the story, great photography. As far as believability, I would say it was some where between the Chinese Egg story and the Jehovah Witness rendition of the bible, with it’s 6000 or so deletions and add on changes. But that’s just my opinion, I’m sure you found great comfort in the whole tale.

I always wonder what kind of grant money can someone like Shubin pick up on a deal like this.

Faithful believers may have to follow the JW cult’s lead and rewright some of their doctrine to keep the dream alive. From Evolution News and Views, “Couched in technical language is a frank admission from Erwin: the history of life shows abrupt jumps in form that are not bridged by gradual “gradation of form from one species to the next.” In other words, it’s the opposite of what an evolutionary view might expect. Erwin even admits the first appearance of body plans is “abrupt”.
