National science education standards delayed

Work on the national science education standards is apparently still in the first stage of creating a “conceptual framework.” An update on The National Academies’ Board on Science Education website says:

Due to the rigors of the NRC internal expert review, we are slightly delayed in releasing the Framework. We do anticipate it will be made public in Summer 2011.

I’d love to know the details about that delay! (H/T Bridge to Tomorrow)
