I had neglected to check on conservative activist and creationist Terry Kemple’s race for a seat on the Hillsborough County School Board. Sorry about that. He lost: Kemple’s challenge falls short. However, Kemple did round up a respectable percentage, 43.06 to his opponent’s 56.94. I doubt that this is the last we’ll hear of him.

Blame East Hillsborough. Civilization pretty much stops at I-75, east of that they continually elect embarrassments like Ronda Storms. Were this School Board election not county-wide, Kemple would have won like Storms usually does. Storms was trounced in her first countywide race, but the eastern districts have voted her into office after office. In an off-year election, somebody like Kemple might actually sneak onto the board when no one is paying attention, perhaps after the retirement of a longtime incumbent.
Brandon, Ivorygirl beat you to it. She posted this back on the 7th. I agree this is not the last we will hear from him
