More silly season fun

Florida Citizens for Science has assembled a listing of all candidates running for the state Senate and House. We’ve included websites for the candidates as we could find them.

Also of interest for anyone in Clay County: An organization active in that area sent out questionnaires to the local candidates and then created an online voter guide. Scroll to the bottom of that page and have a look at the superintendent and school board folks. There are some positions these folks have you might find interesting. Anyone know of any other similar voting guides out there?

Wow! I am very scared – those are very scary! I have so much to comment on that I can’t even begin! Clay County is in for some trouble. Luckily, some of the questions they were asking the SB members have nothing to do with their jobs. (Like tax money)

And also, luckily, we have this thing caled the Constitution! Yikes!!!

I’m in shock – must go lie down.

Don’t overlook this: EILEEN ROY STANDS UP FOR SCIENCE. Excerpt:

At a recent Alachua County School Board election forum, the four candidates were asked if they support a strong curriculum in science education, especially biological evolution.

Barbara Sharpe declined to answer the question, Janie Williams made an incoherent response, Jeannine Cawthon advocated teaching all views of creation as science.

Only Eileen Roy supported teaching science in the science classroom and religious creationism elsewhere.
