The Science under siege panel discussion got a promotional notice in a newspaper<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The University of North Florida Department of Biology and First Coast Freethought Society are sponsoring a free panel discussion titled “Science Under Seige: The Attack on Evolution” at 7 p.m. Monday at the University Center Banquet Hall on the UNF campus. The discussion, followed by a question-and-answer session, will be moderated by Ken Hurley, president of ACLU Jacksonville. Panel members include UNF professors Anthony M. Rossi, biologist; Matthew R. Gilg, biologist; Jay S. Huebner, physicist and astronomer; and Gordon F.M. Rakita, anthropologist.<\/font><\/p>\n

Panelists will outline the key concepts of evolutionary theory, its relevance to present-day humanity and how they think it deserves its rightful place in public education as one of the foundations of biology.<\/font><\/p>\n
