She worked last summer with professors to analyze effects of endothelial progenitor cells on diabetics.<\/p>\n<p>A mouth-full of a subject for an eighth grader, but one the Canterbury School student knows well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lakecityreporter.com\/articles\/2009\/02\/01\/news\/doc498524d2cb51d727806077.txt\">Lake City Community College\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first regional Florida Science Olympiad<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Students from seven area schools competed in teams against one another in a number of different competitions. Topics for the competitions ranged from anatomy, chemistry and engineering to environmental chemistry and earth science.
