The University of West Florida (Pensacola) chemistry department is hosting a series of Saturday “Fun with Science<\/a>” programs for kids in grades 6 – 8.<\/p>\n

There will be a brief introductory lecture for each session followed by the activity period where the students perform the hands-on experiments. Activities will be fun, very hands-on, and appropriate for middle school kids.<\/p>\n

September 20- Chemistry of Fireworks
\nOctober 18- National Chemistry Week
\nNovember 15- Physics
\nDecember 6- Plant Biology<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A capacity of 50 participants has been set. Participants must register for the sessions in advance, and registration will be separate for each individual session. Please contact Cindy Williams at (850)474-2739 or cwilliam@uwf.edu to register.<\/p>\n

I looks like the partner organization in this, the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, also has a program for the younger grades of 3 – 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n
