{"id":681,"date":"2008-08-11T10:24:02","date_gmt":"2008-08-11T14:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.flascience.org\/wp\/?p=681"},"modified":"2008-09-29T14:42:53","modified_gmt":"2008-09-29T18:42:53","slug":"medved-opens-mouth-inserts-foot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flascience.org\/?p=681","title":{"rendered":"Medved Opens Mouth Inserts Foot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>Those who feel Creationism (Intelligent Design) needs to be taught along side Evolution as a valid opposing scientific theory, often site \u00e2\u20ac\u0153evidence\u00e2\u20ac\u009d from the Discovery Institute.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Well <span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN;\" lang=\"EN\">Michael Medved, newly named Discovery Institute fellow, &#8220;opens mouth and inserts foot&#8221; with a\u00c2\u00a0gem of a statement in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpost.com\/servlet\/Satellite?cid=1215331212438&amp;pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter\"><span style=\"color: #0054a6;\">this interview<\/span><\/a> with the Jerusalem Post:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN;\" lang=\"EN\">&#8220;The important thing about Intelligent Design is that it is not a theory &#8211; which is something I think they need to make more clear. Nor is Intelligent Design an explanation. Intelligent Design is a challenge. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a challenge to evolution.
