Palm Beach Post: ‘Evolution Act’ passed by panel<\/a><\/p>\n

“You cannot simply call a religious belief scientific information and thus open the door to teaching it in our scientific classrooms,” said Courtenay Strickland, the daughter of a Baptist minister and a science teacher.<\/p>\n

Strickland spoke on behalf of the American Civil Liberties Union, which filed the Pennsylvania lawsuit that struck down the teaching of intelligent design.<\/p>\n

She promised another “massive” lawsuit here if teachers use it to discuss religion in science class.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
