(Previous posts about Cutting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flascience.org\/wp\/?p=294\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flascience.org\/wp\/?p=292\">here<\/a>.) Since he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s apparently not being heard by his fellow committee members, he decided to offer his <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.tampabay.com\/schools\/files\/minority_report.doc\">own minority report<\/a> (as reported in <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.tampabay.com\/schools\/2008\/02\/minority-report.html\">The Gradebook<\/a>). Cutting recommends a few changes. My favorite is this one:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>SC.912.L.1.5 Origination of Eukaryotic Cells<br \/>\nExplain the extent of the evolutionary proof as demonstrated by the fossil record, comparative anatomy, comparative embryology, biogeography, molecular biology of the origin of the eukaryotic cells (endosymbiosis).\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  (Please note the leading nature, implied conclusion, and overstatement of data available.)<\/p>\n<p>Change to: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Use critical and logical thinking to explain and analyze the origin of eukaryotic cells (endosymbiosis).\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In other words, he doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like all that doggone evidence and so demands that it be erased.<\/p>\n<p>I like how he says stuff like, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We thus recommend\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in his report. Who is this \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he speaks of?
