A pilot workshop gives teachers some hands-on science learning<\/a>. Just in time for back to school!<\/p>\n

Palumbo is among 13 Collier County Public Schools teachers who have been gearing up for the start of the school year by getting hands-on experience in environmental and marine sciences at parks, beaches and other places around Collier County.<\/p>\n

For the past week, middle- and high-school science-related teachers participated in a pilot science workshop, dubbed Coastal Environment Institute for Teachers, at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve near Marco Island.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
