See our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flascience.org\/wp\/?p=2378\">previous post<\/a> for a summary of why these bills are of concern.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senate Bill<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2016\/1018\/?Tab=RelatedBills\">SB 1018<\/a>: Instructional Materials for K-12 Public Education<br \/>\n12\/17\/15 &#8212; The bill has been referred to three committees: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Committees\/Show\/ED\">Education Pre-K-12<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Committees\/Show\/AED\">Appropriations Subcommittee on Education<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Committees\/Show\/AP\">Appropriations<\/a>. No hearings have been scheduled yet.<br \/>\n12\/2\/15 &#8212; Bill was filed by Sen.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Senators\/S11\"> Alan Hays<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>House Bill<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridahouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=55849\">HB 899<\/a> &#8211; Instructional Materials for K-12 Public Education<br \/>\n12\/18\/15 &#8212; The bill has been referred to three committees: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridahouse.gov\/Sections\/Committees\/committeesdetail.aspx?SessionId=80&amp;CommitteeId=2855\">K-12 Subcommittee<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridahouse.gov\/Sections\/Committees\/committeesdetail.aspx?SessionId=80&amp;CommitteeId=2830\">Education Appropriations Subcommittee<\/a>; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridahouse.gov\/Sections\/Committees\/committeesdetail.aspx?SessionId=80&amp;CommitteeId=2848\">Education Committee<\/a>.
