Eleven lucky students will gather this month at the South Florida Science Museum to speak, via amateur radio, to astronauts on the International Space Station as it passes overhead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Guided by National Research Council and National Science Foundation recommendations, the AP Program has spent several years collaborating with master AP teachers and eminent educators from colleges and universities to evaluate and revise the AP Physics B course. This collaboration has led to a decision to replace AP Physics B with two new courses, AP Physics 1: Algebra-based and AP Physics 2: Algebra-based.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

— Study Finds Benefits to Infusing Math Into Science Lessons<\/a><\/p>\n

With the prevalence of the acronym STEM in education parlance today, interest has grown in not just promoting the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as separate entities, but in figuring out the ways they can intersect to enhance learning.<\/p>\n

A recent project funded by the National Science Foundation took this issue to heart, by supporting the development of a math-infused science curriculum and then studying its effects on math learning.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
