Work on the national science education standards is apparently still in the first stage of creating a “conceptual framework.” An update on The National Academies’ Board on Science Education website <\/a>says:<\/p>\n

Due to the rigors of the NRC internal expert review, we are slightly delayed in releasing the Framework. We do anticipate it will be made public in Summer 2011.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
