Membership is fairly simple. There are two levels. First is a basic level where you are added to our Google Groups email list. You can converse with other members and offer up your ideas and volunteer to do whatever you are able to do. On this basic level you can keep up to date on what is going on and be ready to act in your local area if needed.

The other level is a bit more active. By paying an annual due of $20 you can have a stronger say in the running of the organization. You can vote for officers and board members, and run for said offices. You will be shaping the organization in accordance with a shared vision. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with bylaws.

We are only as active and effective as a group as our members are. Everyone in Florida Citizens for Science is a volunteer. Our lifeblood is the eyes and ears out there watching for opportunities to promote science in a positive way and the voices out there defending against anti-science ideas.

We are eager to pull in new people and expand our abilities, so don’t be afraid to pitch in as you are able to.

To join, just e-mail Communications Director Brandon Haught ( State what level you want to join at and tell us a little about yourself. We will then tell you where to send membership dues if that’s the level you wish to join at.
