We’ve modernized!

The Florida Citizens for Science website is now upgraded. It looks much better than the old design we’ve had for several years and it’s more user friendly. Of special note is the new “Issues” section that connects you directly to web pages dedicated to tracking the major projects we’re working on and asking for your help with.

Let me know what you think and feel free to point out any problems.

A nicer look, all in all. Those thank-you notes are great!

I do miss looking at the “front page” of the blog and seeing right off how many comments show up for each post, rather than having to look at each post, one by one, to see if anybody’s uploaded something new there.

I would like to second the complaint about not being able to easily see which posts have had new comments.

You’ll have to help me out with this as I’m not sure what your are referring to. If you go to the main page of the blog and then go to the end of every post you can see how many comments each has, which I believe is the same setup as the old blog. Are you seeing that? Is there some function of the old blog that I’m missing?

  4. Brandon Haught says:

I’ve now added a “recent comments” display in the right sidebar. Is that what you’re looking for?

    Perfect!

Okay, I think I’ve figured out the comments-counting problem.

https://www.flascience.org/?page_id=3059 – the “blog” link above – shows each new post with the number of comments.

https://www.flascience.org/wp – my bookmark for the FCS blog – doesn’t.
