The development of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) is nearing completion, and the final release of the NGSS is anticipated in the second week in April (April 8-12). When the standards are released, they will be available on the www.nextgenscience.org website. I suppose we then sit back and patiently wait for the FDOE and the FBOE to make a decision to adopt the standards, or not?

No, once the standards are published and we think they are supportable, we need to push that they be accepted, just as the other standards have been. The same reasons for the other standards adoption apply to science as well. This would finally give us the opportunity to compare Florida to other states and give us a true picture of how good are schools really are. It would eliminate all of the political BS.
Thanks Joe, I was wondering when someone was going to respond in the way that you did.
We should NOT sit passively while a decision is being made, we need to put our voice out there in the media and in any other ways we see fit.
