Well … I’m/we’re in good company

I won an award, and so did Florida Citizens for Science … sort of. Kinda cool that I/we are alongside some other notable names.

The more serious and meaningful award Joe Wolf and I received is courtesy of NCSE. And once again, it’s an honor to be named among the other awesome recipients there.

He gave a Friend of Jefferson award to Don McElroy — who just voted to remove Jefferson from one of the key history standards for Texas public schools and to replace him with John Calvin. ” — LOL!

ROTFLMAO Larry F is from another planet, who cares what he thinks?
Is that the best name he could come up for you Brandon? I could do a lot better !!!!!! 🙂

Best summary of Larry’s beliefs, courtesy of Tyler DiPietro: “The Holocaust didn’t happen, but Darwin caused it.”

    Great job!!! Congrats!!!

I’m surprised that Jimbo Wales, founder of wikipedia, didn’t make the cut. Back when Cheri Yecke was attempting to run for educational commissioner in Florida, Larry was especially active in trying to edit out all the links to creationism and intelligent from her wiki before myself and the other editors put a stop to him and his various sockpuppet accounts. Cue a few weeks of him ranting on how Wales and his league of wiki contributors were facist pigs, etc etc. Actually, I’m more surprised that Larry is still “relevant” after all these years.

I tracked down the FoH award through ScienceBlogs and was proud that you, Brandon, and FL Citizens for Science made the cut! Congrats, and thanks for the good work that leads to such hilarity!
